About Me
Professionally, I am studying to be a school psychologist at National-Louis University. I have an M.A. in Educational Psychology from National-Louis University and a B.A. in Psychology from Elmhurst College. I have one more year of course work that goes towards my Education Specialist degree. After that, it's a year of internship before I can start working as a school psychologist. I'm currently doing my practicum at a local high school. My goal is to become a school psychologist and help students achieve in school. I would also like to travel during my breaks to see what interventions schools are doing in other countries. I am still developing my philosophy on what supports schools should have in place for students, but I hope to find that out before I start getting out into the real world :).
Personally, I have a lot of creative passions. I am a newlywed who loves the idea of establishing a home and family. I like to try new recipes, design my home, and spend quality time with my husband. Aside from home life, I have quite a few creative outlets. I think it is important to have a balance of critical thinking and creative thinking. My creative thinking involves drawing, graphic design, baking, Cosplay, piano, writing/blogging, video editting, home decor, painting, beadwork, latch & hook, needlepoint, sewing, and web design.
